HOWLAND - Frances Bellay, 88, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
She was born Jan. 13, 1925, in McIntryre, Pa., the daughter of Louis and Rose Testa.
Frances retired from Packard Electric as an inspector after 35 years.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, crafting and cooking.
She is survived by her three daughters, Yvonne M. Bellay DVM (Andrew Didion) of Jefferson, Wis., Madelyn E. Bellay of Cortland and Patrice A. (James) Valentine of Warren, and a sister, Madelyn Testa of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Bellay, whom she married April 12, 1947, and who passed away Nov. 24, 1998, and five brothers: George, James, Peter, Guido and Louis Testa.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. Panachida service, and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Warren, with the Rev. Kevin Marks officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery Cortland.
