YOUNGSTOWN - Home Savings Charitable Foundation has donated $25,000 to Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation.
The foundation's donation will cover the construction costs of a community workshop facility and other needed equipment for neighborhood improvement programming, according to YNDC Executive Director Presley L. Gillespie.
"YNDC will construct the workshop facility to conduct planning and training for agricultural and neighborhood project activities year-round," Gillespie said in a news release. "The construction of the community workshop facility will bolster the ability of YNDC to serve low-income neighborhoods across the city and will strengthen the capacity of resident groups to conduct neighborhood improvement activities."
"We're proud to be able to support Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation in its mission to transform neighborhoods, change lives and improve the quality of life in the City of Youngstown," said Pamela Berry, director of Home Savings Charitable Foundation.
Home Savings operates 33 banking offices and nine loan production offices throughout Ohio and western Pennsylvania, employing about 500 people.
