WARREN - Richard H. Pringle, 85, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Warren, the son of the late Robert and Mildred M. Hoffman Pringle.
Richard was employed for 25 years by Packard Electric in Warren as a supervisor.
He loved model trains. He had an HO train with detailed landscape and buildings set up in his basement. He loved to go fishing, especially in Canada. He was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church.
He served his country in the U.S. Army after World War II, traveling to India, China and Japan delivering prisoners of war.
Memories of Richard will be carried on by his son, Mark L. (Brenda) Pringle of Girard; grandson, Scot (Jennifer) Pringle of Newton Falls; great-grandson, Tyler J. Pringle; and brother, Dan (Carolyn) Pringle of Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dorothy H. (Moody) Pringle, whom he married July 10, 1948, and shared 58 years of marriage with until her passing in 2007.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Champion Presbyterian Church, 4997 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Cynthia Klingemier officiating.
His family suggest contributions be made to the Central Christian Church Music Fund, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, OH 44483.
