LAKELAND, Fla. - John Prussey, 85, of Lakeland, Fla., was called home to be with The Lord Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
He was born Oct. 20, 1927, in Everson, Pa.
A longtime resident of Warren, John retired from American Welding in 1985 after 37 years of service. John relocated to Florida, where he was employed by Lockheed Martin as a quality control manager. John retired to Lakeland, Fla., in 1986.
John was an avid golfer. He mastered his home course of Highland Fairways, scoring more than a dozen holes-in-one. John also enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and horse racing.
He is fondly loved and remembered by his wife of 64 years, Janice; his daughter, Debbie (Jim) Murray of Birmingham, Ala.; his son, Tom (Karen) Prussey of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Kathy (George) Erthal of DeBary, Fla.; his grandchildren, TJ and Holly Prussey, Shawn (Casey) and Richard Murray; two great-granddaughters, Laurynn and Lexie Murray; and two sisters, Margaret of Dayton and Terri of Denver, Colo.
A celebration of life will be held in Lakeland, Fla.
