WARREN - Joseph Susko, 88, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Renaissance Nursing Facility.
Joseph was born March 19, 1925, in Warren, the son of the late John and Julia Mahavic Susko.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II during the Rapido River Battles.
Joseph was a self-employed tile setter and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
He will be sadly missed, and his memories will be cherished by his wife, the former Lina DeRamo, whom he married Sept. 2, 1950; his son, John (Debra) Susko of Cortland; his daughter, Rosemary Susko of Follansbee, W.Va.; three sisters, Ellen Day of Howland, Margaret Salvato of Warren and Ann Casale of Champion; three grandchildren, Nicole Behanna of Pittsburgh, Morgan Shelton of Ravenna and Melanie Behanna of Follansbee, W.Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Angela, Henry and Sophia.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Knapic and Julia Opalk.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road, N.E., where friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the services.
