VIENNA HOLDS HOME DAY: Vienna Township Home Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the township green.
The event will include a parade starting at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, with lineup between 9 and 10 a.m. For a spot in the parade, call Pam at 330-856-6275. Trophies and gift cards will be awarded to winners in various categories.
The event will also include old fashioned games, local merchants, food vendors, antique motor vehicle show, and self-guided cemetery tours. Booth setup is Friday evening and Saturday morning.
BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT: Eastside Church of Christ, 1416 Adelaide St. S.E., Warren, will hold the Feeding God's Children annual free back-to-school event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The event will include lunch, school supplies and basic health screenings. Children must be present to receive school supplies.
CENTER HOLDS OPEN HOUSE FOR TEACHERS: OH WOW! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St., Youngstown, will hold an open house for local educators and teachers from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The event will introduce teachers about educational field trips and programming for the 2013-14 school year. Teachers showing school identification or a copy of teaching license receive free admission.
The event includes hands-on interactive activities and demonstrations, chances to win free class field trips and refreshments.
FINISH THE FIGHT: The American Cancer Society is having a "Finish the Fight" Festival on Saturday at Austintown Township Park. The event is free and will have entertainment, food, children's games and vendors. The relay teams are selling food and crafts to raise money for their teams.

MOVIE PARTY AT LIBRARY: A party for the "City of Bones" movie premier will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren. Teens entering grades 7 to 12 can come celebrate the film adaptation of the book. There will be crafts, games, and snacks. Costumes are encouraged.
