WARREN - Marshall L. Lyons' Lord and Savior called him home to be with his father, Guy W. Lyons, and his sister, Betty, on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, peacefully in his sleep after several long-term illnesses.
He was born July 15, 1952, in Chicago, the son of the late Guy W. Lyons and his mother, Emzie Pulliam Lyons Eshelman, who survives.
He was affiliated with the Warren Bible Methodist Church and did piecework on the line at the Niles Workshop.
Marshall is survived by his mother, Emzie, and his stepfather, Clarence Eshelman of Warren; one brother, William Lyons of Warren; four sisters, Susie (Melvin) Williams of Reynoldsville, W.Va., Karen (Jim) Lorentz of Buckhannon, W.Va., Virginia (Ray) Smithberger of Warren and Kathy (Jerry) Nahm of Warren; one stepbrother; three stepsisters; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy W. Lyons, and his sister, Betty Lyons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Pastor Paul Young will be officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lumberport Cemetery in Lumberport, W.Va.
