WARREN - Charles A. ''Rail,'' ''Little Man'' Ford Jr., 72, of Warren, died at 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Warren, the son of Charles A. and Mattiebelle Hall Ford Sr.
Charles worked at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown and attended the St. James Church of God and Christ in Warren. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include four sons, Tony Ford and Verdell Lowery, both of Warren, and Bryson and Aaron Ford, both of Toledo; four daughters, Tina Price and Shenita Seay, both of Warren, Tracy Ford of Sharon, Pa., and Jennifer Ford of Toledo; three brothers, Robert Hall of Virginia, Richard Ford of Youngstown and Sam Ford of Warren; three sisters, Alberta Black, Rochelle Cleveland and Francine Trestscott, all of Warren; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the St. James Church of God and Christ, where visitation will be one hour prior. Rev. Melvin Howard Jr. will be officiating. The family also will receive friends at the daughter's residence, 1761 Arthur Drive S.W., Warren, OH 44485.
Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Champion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home in Warren.
