NILES - David Jon Bentley, 47, of Niles, passed away Monday afternoon, Aug. 5, 2013, at his home in Niles with his loving family by his side.
He was born April 7, 1966, at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Elmore, Idaho, the son of Robert and Danielle Jenaureax Bentley.
David was a independent truck driver. He was Baptist by faith.
David enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing and camping. David was able to go fishing last week with his hunting and fishing partner, Donnie Brown.
David married Blanche Kelly on June 23, 1997.
David is survived by his wife, Blanche; his parents; two sons, David Jon Bentley Jr. at home and Richard Filipcich of Niles; one daughter, Ashley Filipcich of Girard; three sisters, Judy Smith of Perry, Ga., Patrice Oldham of Augusta, Ga., and Kathy Leverett of Warner Robins, Ga.; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Pat and Debbie Kelly of Niles and Mary Kay and Michael Gearhart of Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
David's family will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. to noon today at the First Baptist Church in Girard, where at noon there will be a funeral service held for David.
The family would like to thank Hospice and their Hospice nurse, Kim Tenney, for all the care and kindness shown to David.
David requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the family for the David Jon Bentley Jr. college fund.
