BOARDMAN - Ernest Zolka Sr., 80, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Vista Center at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge.
He was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Amelia Toth Zolka.
Ernest served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired as a sheetmetal worker through Sheet Metal Workers Local No. 33.
Mr. Zolka was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Church in Youngstown.
He leaves his wife, Ann Garchar Zolka; two sons, Ernest Jr. of Portland, Ore., and Robert of Austintown; five grandchildren; a brother, Frank of Montgomery, Texas; and a sister, Mary Rose Lorant of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and continue at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen of Hungary Church.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
