NILES - One of the men detained here Friday following a raid is facing more than two dozen charges.
According to officials, William F. Brock Sr., 832 Mason St., is facing 25 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. He is being held in the Trumbull County Jail and is set to be arraigned Monday morning.
Brock, whom some in the neighborhood referred to as "Santa," was led from the house Friday afternoon shirtless, sporting a long white beard and red sweatpants.
The raid was conducted by Niles police, state Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification and the FBI.
A second, younger man also was taken from the house for questioning Friday, said Eva Hall, BCI Senior Special Agent. As of Saturday, he had not been charged.
Neighborhood resident Candice Perez, 28, offered her opinion on the situation Friday while authorities removed computers and boxes from the two-story white house.
Perez said she lives next door with her four children - all between the ages of 2 and 9 - and her mother.
She said they didn't know the men's names but simply referred to the older man as "Santa." She said the older man told her he was a photographer and that he volunteered at shelters and children's hospitals.
Perez said both men appeared to be friendly and good-natured.
It was not known Saturday what prompted the raid.
