BOARDMAN - Terry V. Rainey Jr., 25, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1987, in Youngstown, the son of Cindy Miokovic Orslene.
Terry was a 2006 Poland Seminary High School graduate, and he also attended Youngstown State University.
He worked as an electrician for Local 64.
Mr. Rainey was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran of the Afghanistan war.
Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Browns and Indians fan. His greatest joy was being with and enjoying his family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Cynthia L. (Steve) Orslene of Cortland and Robert D. Thomas Sr. of Poland; his fiancee, Ashley Hill; his brothers and sister, Robert D. (Kristi) Thomas Jr. of Poland, Michael (Marcia) Thomas of New York City, Brennen Orslene of Cortland and Jenna (Peter) Modelski of Poland; and his nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Ella and Lennox Thomas, Dylan Modelski and Robert D. Thomas III. Also surviving are his grandparents, Lois (Michael) Lunich of Youngstown, Juanita Miller of Boardman, and William and Annette Orslene of Warren; and an abundance of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nicholas Miokovic, Robert Thomas and Jack Miller.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, in Cortland, where Randi Pappa will celebrate Terry's life. Family and friends may visit from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
