Man injured in
SHALERSVILLE?- A man was listed in critical condition following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 303, east of state Route 44 in Shalersville.
According to the Ravenna post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Andrew D. Hadzinsky, 27, of Mantua, was traveling west on state Route 303 when his Pontiac G6 went off the right side of the road and into the ditch.
The vehicle continued along the ditch line, struck a driveway culvert and drainage pipe, then overturned and landed on its left side.
Mantua / Shalersville Township Fire crews got Hadzinsky from the car and transported to an awaiting medical helicopter. He was flown to Akron City Hospital.
He was wearing a safety belt, and the air bags had deployed, troopers said. The crash remains under investigation.
Newton Falls man out on
bond in bath salts case
YOUNGSTOWN - A Newton Falls man charged with running a bath salts operation is free on bond.
Ryan Kralik, 32, of Newton Falls, was released on a $250,000 bond Wednesday following a detention hearing in federal court. Also charged was Ruth Eimers, 36, of Ravenna, whose bond was set at $25,000.
The pair has been charged with an assortment of felony drug charges related to the distribution of bath salts, which is a term for a class of designer drugs that are similar in effect to cocaine and amphetamines.
Kralik and Eimers each pleaded not guilty last week following a raid at an East Church Street home that Kralik rented.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Teresa Dirksen is prosecuting the case.
