SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Sharon "Bunny" Sue Morris Wright, 68, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1944, the daughter of Betty Kizer and Robert Morris.
Sharon finished battling lung cancer last week. She decided instead to find solace in the arms of her Lord.
She was a hard worker all her life, either rearing children or helping others with her unique blend of caring, tough love and endless words of wisdom. She also enjoyed all her children's activities and growing her beautiful flowers wherever she could find some dirt.
She was a graduate of S.B. Central High School Class of '62.
She had three surviving children, Doyle Wright III, 50, of Simpsonville, S.C.; Lisa (Vickie) Wright, 47, of Evans, Colo., and Robert Wright, 43, of Mishawaka, Ind.; as well as dozens of "adopted" children with whom she shared her life and helped to guide through their own trials and tribulations. She also had three grandchildren, Matt (Rachelle) Miller Jr., 27, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Breanna Miller, 20, of Boulder, Colo., and Aly Wright, 14, of Simpsonville, S.C.; as well as three great-grandchildren, Raya, Devric and Logan. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie (Jack) Russell of (Romeo, Mich.; and her brothers, Terry Morris of Kent and Robert (Gloria) Morris of Oklahoma City, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Kizer Morris and Robert Morris; her daughter, Gabrielle Marie Wright, who died at the age of 4 in 1976; and her brother, Kevin Morris.
Come share your memories of Sharon with friends and family at a memorial visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, Ind.
