SOUTHINGTON - One man is in custody this afternoon in connection to a stabbing incident that left one dead and sent another to MetroHealth Hospital in Cleveland.
Thomas Starr has been arrested in connection to the incident, according to Trumbull County Sheriff's Detective Maj. Tom Stewart.
According to the sheriff's office, a call came in to 911 about 10 p.m. Saturday of someone lying near state Route 305, west of U.S. Route 422.
Law enforcement officials were sent to investigate and found a woman near the road and a male at 5443 Route 305.
The woman was flown to MetroHealth hospital, where her condition was not known; the male has since died.
Neither victim has been identified pending notification of relatives.
