WARREN - Francis Edward Latimer, 80, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 18, 2013, at Community Skilled Health Care in Warren.
He was born Oct. 13, 1932, in West Farmington, the son of Harry E. and Vera Hitchcock Latimer.
He was a graduate of West Farmington High School and went on to join the United States Navy, serving his country during the Korean War aboard the USS Frank Knox.
Upon returning home he worked as a pipefitter at Copperweld for 30 years before his retirement.
He leaves his brothers, James (Jane Anne) Latimer of Cortland and Robert E. (Kathy) Latimer of Ravenna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Crown Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 3966 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna, OH 44473. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. at the chapel with Pastor James Dittmar officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to All Caring Hospice. They would also like to thank the staff of Community Skilled Health Care and the hospice nurses for their kind and helpful care.
