DEERFIELD - Margaret F. Wilson, 76, of Deerfield, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.
Margaret was born on Oct. 12, 1936, in Morgantown, W.Va., daughter of the late Gligor and Karoline Ciumedean.
Marge was retired from Southeast Local Schools after 35 years as a bus driver and driver certification specialist.
She was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church and a member of the Palmy 114 chapter of Eastern Star, the Auxiliary of Deerfield American Legion and the Cardinal Ruritan Club. She was the first elected female district officer in Ohio Ruritan history.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Gearl L. Wilson; daughter Donna (Paul) Guyer of Solon, son Gearl Jr. (Regina) of Riverdale, Ga., and daughter Tina Jakobsky of Reynoldsburg; her grandchildren, Mark (Susan) Guyer of Indianapolis, Elyse Guyer of Boston and Zoe Jakobsky of Reynoldsburg; sisters, Betty (Raul) Price of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Helen (Bill) West and Karoline (Farrell) Shafer of Parkersburg, W.Va.; brother, Robert (Shirley) Ciumedean of Brandywine, Md.; nephew, Nelson (Paula) Ciumedean of Fairmont, W.Va.; and dear friend, Danette (Keith) Stepp of Diamond.
Beside her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Roth, and brother, Georgie.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Deerfield United Methodist Church, 1483 state Route 225, Deerfield, OH, 44411, with Eastern Star Services and memorial service immediately following at 1 p.m.
