Mon 10:42 a.m.: Judge allows woman to board up home

June 17, 2013
Tribune Chronicle |

WARREN - A judge Monday agreed to allow a homeowner in Warren to voluntarily board up her home for at least a year after the house was targeted earlier in the month as a "drug house" and a nuisance.

Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay allowed Annie Foster, of Canton, the owner of the home at the corner of Wick and Rogers S.E. to still maintain what Foster called her family home.

A drug task force and Warren police raided the place June 6, arresting Foster's son and another man, who remain free on bond after being charged with heroin possession. Neither man attended the brief hearing in McKay's chambers.

Attorney Traci Timko Rose said Annie Foster cooperated freely with city officials who sought to eliminate drug activity at the site.
