VIENNA - Bonnie Alice Lucille Mix Horner, 76, died at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
She was born March 11, 1937, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Carl and Martha VanDervoort Mix.
Bonnie was baptized at the Methodist Church in Dubois, Pa., at the age of 14.
Mrs. Horner was a graduate of Dubois High School in Pennsylvania and was a homemaker. For a while, she did work for the Matthews school system in the kitchen.
She was extremely crafty; she loved to paint and made very good cakes. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her children and grandchildren and supporting all of their events.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Jack D. Horner, whom she married on Dec. 22, 1956; together they raised four children, Cindy L. Horner Mohney, who is deceased, Kevin J. (Wendy) Horner of Cortland, Gary L. (Janice) Horner of Cortland and Patty-Kay (Jeff) Horner Oxendine of Ravenna; and seven grandchildren, Erin Mohney, Adam Mohney, Nathan Horner, Lindsay Horner, Sierra-Kay Oxendine, Matthew Horner and Nicholas Horner.
She had one sister, Peggy Mix Reiner, who is deceased.
Family and friends may gather from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Vienna Presbyterian Church, where memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Judy Bender celebrating Bonnie's life.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, in Cortland.
