The township Summer Youth Sport and Recreation Program began June 3 and will be offered throughout the summer at various locations throughout the township.
The program is for children ages 6 to 13 and is designed to provide basic skills in a variety of recreational activities.
Each camp is offered for one week from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, with the exception of swimming and pottery. All camps take place at the high school, middle school or the township park, unless otherwise indicated.

The camps are staffed by local experts who are qualified in each activity. Instructors include teachers, coaches, students and volunteers from the township, local communities, colleges and universities.
The cost is $20 for one week of camp for residents and $35 for non-residents. For Warren YMCA classes, the cost is $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents.
Beginner and advanced swimming classes: 10 to 10:45 a.m. and from 11 to 11:45 a.m. June 17 to 27 at the Warren YMCA, 210 High St.
June 10 to 14: fishing at the township pond; gardening at the community gardens; and painting and drawing at the middle school.
June 17 to 21: FunTastic sports at the township park; scrapbooking at the middle school.
June 24 to 26: Arts and Crafts at the middle school; basketball at the township park; wrestling at the high school.
July 1 to 3: Track and field at the middle school; bowling at Echo Lanes.
July 8 to 12: Football at the township park; cheerleading at the township park.
July 15 to 10: Tennis at the high school; golf at the township park.
July 22 to 26: Tennis at the high school; volleyball at the township park.
July 29 to Aug. 2: Soccer at the township park
Aug. 5 to 9: Outdoor adventures at the township park.
