CORTLAND - Beverly J. Finney, 78, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family in the University Hospital in Cleveland.
She was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Ronald and Vendetta DiLoreto Williams.
She graduated from Newton Falls High School and then moved to Warren and married Walter E. Finney on May 26, 1956. The couple made their home in Cortland.
Beverly had been employed by Cox Lithographing.
Beverly most enjoyed spending her time with her family. She also enjoyed bingo, playing cards, going to Mountaineer, fishing at Lake Erie, and watching basketball and NASCAR.
Loving memories of Beverly will be carried on by her husband, Gene; her children, Greg of Champion, Janice (Bryan Adams) Finney of Cortland, and Lisa and Albert Starcher of Fowler; her four grandsons, Greg Jr. of Bazetta, Branden of Champion, Brett (Jessica) Starcher and Blake Starcher, all of Fowler; her three great-grandchildren, Maddox Finney of Florida, Brett Jr. and Bailey Starcher of Fowler; her brother and sister-in-law, Doug Finney and Donna Wible of Florida; and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding Beverly were her sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Charles Baker, Claudia and Jack Clark and Oris and Harry Heim; her stepfather, Nicholas DiLoreto; her daughter-in-law, Tracey; and several nephews.
Upon Beverly's wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date with close friends and family.
Arrangements for Beverly were entrusted to the Borowski Funeral Service and Oak Meadow Cremation Services.
