WINDHAM - Dorothy LaWave Cogley, 89, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at home with her loving family at her side.
She was born Dec. 28, 1923, in Dayton, Pa., the daughter of Washington Miles and Venice Irene Bowser Schrecengost.
Dorothy retired from Windham Schools as a cafeteria worker, and was a member of the Congregational Church in Windham.
Survivors include her husband, Laird Cogley; four children, Larry of Akron, Nancy Beckner of Windham, Tom of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Connie Barstow of Garrettsville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Clever of Virginia; and a brother, Miles Schrecengost of Pennsylvania.
Five sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Windham Township Cemetery. Friends and family are invited following the cemetery services to join together at the Brick Chapel in Windham.
Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua.
