A spending bill approved Tuesday by lawmakers in the U.S. House will provide about $5.2 million to improve the Camp Ravenna Joint Military Training Center.
The funding for the former Ravenna Arsenal will be used to upgrade sewer at the training site, which straddles southern Trumbull County and northern Portage County.
House members who represent the Mahoning Valley, Timothy J. Ryan, D-Niles; David Joyce, R-Russell; and Bill Johnson, R-Marietta, all voted for the measure, which passed 421 to 4.
The Military Construction / Veterans Affairs bill provides for $73.2 billion in spending for 2014.
