YOUNGSTOWN - Mildred P. Zemko, 89, of the city's West Side, died Monday morning, June 3, 2013, at Austin Woods Health Care Center.
She was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of Charles and Anna Melnik Powlysyn.
Millie was a homemaker and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include two sons, John E. of Mesa, Ariz., and Joseph P. of Austintown; a brother, Stephen Powlysyn of Hubbard; three sisters, Catherine Gayan of Austintown, Josephine Timlin of Austintown and Mary Ann Pintea of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Zemko; a daughter, Ruth Ann Dimanoff; two brothers; and a sister.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown, where a prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home and continue at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
