FESTIVAL PLANNED: The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will hold its 30th annual festival Wednesday to June 9. Preview night is 6 to 11 p.m. Wednesday, and the festival runs 6 p.m. to midnight Thursday to June 9. The event includes rides, a 5K run, petting zoo, mechanical bull ride, wheel games and fireworks at 10:30 p.m. June 9. There will be free music each night at 7 p.m.

LEARN TO SWIM OFFERED: The Warren City Schools and American Red Cross will hold a Learn to Swim program for children that will instructed by Red Cross-trained personnel. Classes will meet four days a week for two weeks with four separate sessions available between June 10 and Aug. 1.

HOLOCAUST WORKSHOP PLANNED: The Ohio Council on Holocaust Education is sponsoring a free "Ohio Educator Workshop: Echoes and Reflections" from 9:30 a.m.to 4 p.m. June 10 at Youngstown State University. The workshop will be held in Kilcawley Center's President's Suite, 1 University Plaza. Teachers from public, private and parochial schools throughout Ohio are invited to attend the workshop at no cost.

ANNUAL EVENT TO HELP MINISTRY: The Fifth Sparrow Ministry is a program for a 24/7 covenant care home for Christian women leaving prison to provide help, hope and healing. The Fifth Sparrow's third annual 5k Freedom Run and 1 Mile Walk for Freedom event will be held June 29 at the Mineral Ridge High School's Joe Lane Stadium, 1334 Seaborn St., Mineral Ridge.

DECLUTTER FOR A CAUSE: Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cortland will host "Declutter for a Cause" from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 14 and 15 at the church.

All monetary donations will be divided evenly among five "causes" - Someplace Safe, Beatitude House, Bella Women's Center, Ed Boutique of Cortland Christian Church and the LOAF (Cortland ecumenical) Vacation Bible School.
