AUSTINTOWN -- Three 21-year-old Youngstown men were booked in Mahoning County Jail early Monday after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a car on Interstate 80 and seizing several bags of drugs.
The 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling more than 100 mph shortly before 3:30 a.m., an patrol report states. After the car was stopped and the driver removed from the vehicle, troopers called in a K-9 unit to check the car. The dog indicated that drugs were present and troopers then found bags of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, heroin, pills and marijuana, troopers said.
The driver, Alden Young, and passengers Shane Overton and Michael R. Stanley, were all charged with felony drug possession. Young also was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs.
All three of the men are on probation for either drug or assault charges.
