WARREN - Jeanne D. Rose, 92, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Moundsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Betty M. Keyser DeVore.
Jeanne graduated from Bellaire (Ohio) High School in 1939, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
She was a homemaker for many years devoted to raising her family.
Mrs. Rose was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a past adult Sunday school teacher.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and painting.
Jeanne is survived by a daughter, Linda E. (David) Steider of Warren; and a son, David C. Rose of Bazetta. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kristin (Brian) Dew of Canfield, Jason (Christine) Rose of Southington, Joel (Dawn) Steider of Johnston, Lesley (Ryan) Tietz of Southington and Jared (Rebekah) Steider of Warren, along with 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Crell Rose in 1978; and a brother, Richard D. DeVore.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Grace United Methodist Church.
The family requests that material contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Ave. N.W., Warren, OH 44485 and / or Ohio's Choice Hospice, 1520 E. Market St., Warren, OH 44483, in her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
