One year ago on Mother's Day we experienced a house fire. It has been a crazy year since the fire, but we wanted to finally take the time to thank everyone who was so helpful to us.
First, we want to thank the Warren Township and Braceville volunteer fire departments and all the other departments that arrived so promptly and worked to save the older part of the house and back garage. My grandfather was a Warren Township volunteer fireman and he would have been proud!
Thanks to the neighbors who helped - Cathy Fox for calling 911, Mr. Udall, John DeGutis, the strangers that stopped and helped catch our dogs and cats, the Warren Township police, Mrs. Matthews for bringing food the next day, and especially Mark Tilton from Disaster Recovery Services in Warren for organizing the rebuilding of our home. We hope you all had a nice, calm Mother's Day this year.
