AUSTINTOWN - Earleen A. Layshock, 85, died Wednesday evening, May 8, 2013, her 85th birthday, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls following a lengthy illness.
Earleen was born May 8, 1928, in Eccles, W.Va., the daughter of Earl Martin and Hildred Lyons Blakely.
She spent several years as Newton Falls Township Clerk and was of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Layshock leaves two daughters, Monica Susan Hrenko of Newton Falls and Kathleen M. Harley of Austintown; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Marcia Dowdell of Columbus, Betty McCulloch of Pickerington, Cheryl Douglas of California and Lynn Shutes of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Layshock, and two sons, Mark and Richard Layshock.
Services were held Monday at St Joseph Church in Newton Falls.
Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, Youngstown.
