NILES - Ann M. Randall, 94, of Niles, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
She was born April 27, 1919, in Youngstown, the daughter of Peter and Rose Fercana Congemi.
She was a 1938 graduate of Youngstown East High School and was employed as a nurse's aid at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown for many years.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, spending time with her family, attended church every day and was seldom without her rosary.
Ann lived in Campbell until 1987, when she relocated with her husband, Fred, to California. She made her home there for the later part of her life and became a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mira Mesa, Calif. They returned to Ohio in 2010.
Her husband, Michael Kopkas, whom she married Feb. 6, 1939, died May 6, 1970. Her husband, Fred Randall, whom she married Jan. 28, 1977, died Feb. 4, 2012.
Ann, who never wanted to stop working and worked until she was 89 years old, will be deeply missed by a daughter, Marlene (Thomas) Marino of Niles; a sister, Roslyn Monaco of Poland; two grandchildren, Jodi (Mark) Walters of Howland and Thomas Marino III of Niles; a great-grandson, Joseph Anthony Walters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Kopkas, who passed away May 5, 2001; a brother, Charles Congemi; and five sisters, Faye Nabb, Carmel Congemi, Josephine Beniston, Eleanor Parisi and Florence Vukovich.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held noon Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McDonald with the Rev. James Walker officiating, preceded by an 11:15 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
