HUDSON, Fla. - Carl Raymond Heise, 89, of 7602 Willow Brook Court, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Bayonet Point Hospital of heart failure.
He was born Feb. 23, 1924, in Cape Girardue, Mo., the son of Thelma Brown.
Carl lived in Leavittsburg for 40 years before moving to Florida in 2002. He worked at Copperweld Steel for 30 years until his retirement in 1985.
He was a proud and dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He dedicated his entire life to AA and remained active until his death. Carl had 54 years of sobriety and would have celebrated 55 years in December 2012.
Carl was married to Ruby Allen on March 19, 1960. Ruby preceded him in death in 1998.
Survivors include his only son, Jeffrey Heise, with whom he lived until his death; a daughter-in-law, Julie Heise; three grandchildren, Jenna (Joseph) Bottari of Hudson, Fla., Jilaine Heise of Howland and Joan Heise of Kissimmee, Fla.; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in the Warren area.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. May 20 at the Johnson Community Center in Leavittsburg.
A private burial will take place in Meadow Brook Memorial Park.
Family and friends may donate to Alcoholics Anonymous in Carl's name.
