WARREN - A meeting between the executive director of Sunshine of Warren/Trumbull Inc. has been delayed until 3 p.m. Thursday.
They were to meet today.
Anthony Iannucci, executive director of the private, nonprofit organization, informed council that it was calling too many meetings, which does not give him time to prepare, according to Councilman Alford Novak.
Iannucci decided instead to attend a meeting called by Health and Welfare Committee Councilwoman Helen Rucker, D-at large.
He is expected to release an audit of Sunshine during Thursday's meeting.
"I called my meeting about a week ago, because I had other council members and residents asking questions about the operation of Sunshine," Novak said, who is council's finance chairman.
Novak believes discussion about Sunshine belongs in the finance committee because it is dealing with large amounts of money.
Council and residents became concerned about the organization after it was learned that it had more than $188,000 in back property taxes and and fines owed to the Trumbull County treasurer.
Novak invited Sunshine residents and other concerned citizens to today's meeting, so they could ask questions.
