The son of Milton and Cecil Boring Paul, he was born May 24, 1927, in Buffington, Pa.
After his graduation from Penn Runn High School, Clarence joined the United States Navy on Aug. 24, 1945, serving his country during World War II until his discharge in 1946.
On Nov. 27, 1947, he married Freda Long in Cooksport, Pa., with whom he spent 60 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2007.
