COLUMBUS - Elizabeth Anne Dohar, 89, who blessed this earth with her love and kindness, left us Monday, April 8, 2013.
"Honey," as she was called by those who loved her most, was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Warren, the daughter of Robert and Bessie Caler.
A 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Elizabeth went on years later to obtain a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Hiram College at the age of 59. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's in Warren, where she served as parish secretary for many years. Prior to that time, she was employed at Trumbull County Nursing Home and St. James Parish in Warren.

She is survived by her children, Catherine of Columbus, Maryam (Cal) of Galena, Gary (Lucy) of Willoughby, William of San Francisco, Christopher (Michelle) of Warren, Robert (Judith) of Kennebunk, Maine, and Elizabeth of Edinburgh; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, who passed away in 1961; her parents; her sisters, Catherine, Mary and Geraldine; and her brothers, Paul and James.
A Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church, 232 Seneca, Warren. Mass will be followed by a gathering of friends and family in the church hall, with a private burial following in All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to St. Mary's Parish Restoration Fund.
