WARREN - Donald H. Haines, 70, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013, at Tidewell Hospice Care in Sarasota, Fla., after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Warren, the son of Melvin Otto and Vina Doll Haines.
Don attended Champion High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He lived in Bradenton, Fla., for 31 years, where he was employed as a foreman for AMS Masonry. He belonged to the Bradenton Moose and Eagles organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter, Kim Williams of Maryland; stepsons, Robert (Corrie) Timko and Adam (Chrissy) Timko of Pennsylvania; siblings, Ruth (Robert) Wishart of Leavittsburg, Jerry (Peggy Jo) Haines of Cortland, Norma (Dick) Webb of Warren, Edith Sampson and Jane Molinatto of Champion, Thelma Winkle of Canfield and Peggy Ann (Don) Miller; sister-in-law, Linda Kitchin Haines of Bradenton; brother-in-law, Jim Kerr of Garrettsville; and grandchildren, Jimmy, Jackson, Austin, Tanner and Skylar Timko, and Sierra and Gunnar Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Goldie Kerr and Erma Bayus; and brothers, Ed and Dean Haines.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Ken E. Hopkins Jr. will officiate at the 2 p.m. funeral service. A committal service with military honors will follow at Champion Township Cemetery.
