TOLEDO - Roy Gordon Fink, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2013, in his home at the Swan Creek Retirement Village in Toledo.
He was born to Roy and Gertrude Fink on May 20, 1928, in West Farmington.
He joined the U.S. Marines at age 16 and served his country proudly from 1944 to 1947. Roy founded Gordon Plastics, which was acquired by Plastigage of Jackson, Mich., from where he retired as president and CEO. He was also instrumental in the early growth of Dinesol in Niles, as well as founding Gordon Poly-Technics. He was an emeritus member of the Board of Governors for the Shriner's Hospital for crippled children, the Shrine's Royal order of Jesters and a 33 1/3 degree member Mason.

Roy was quick with a smile, a hearty laugh, and greatly enjoyed his family, friends and associates.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters Terry (John) Woodyard and Colleen Jackson; son, Kevin (Annette) Fink; as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie; his parents; sister, Lois (Dale); and great-granddaughter, Julia Woodyard.
Per Roy's wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral services. A private service will take place during his interment at South Jackson Community Church Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Swan Creek Retirement Village, Senior Independence and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the kindness and wonderful caring assistance they provided over the years.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Shriner's Hospital, Cincinnati, and raising a pint in his honor on St. Patrick's Day.
