YOUNGSTOWN - Eugene R. "Bud" Guy, 85, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Northside Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Youngstown, the son of George S. and Elizabeth Anderson Guy.
A World War II veteran, Bud served in the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps. Mr. Guy retired from Youngstown Steel Door and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jane Kelley of Youngstown, Sandy Armes of Austintown and Diane Guy Benedis of Youngs-town, with whom he made his home; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Phyllis Marenkovic of Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Sferra Guy; his second wife, Florence Middleton Guy; two sons, George Sr. and Bobby Calvin; and two sisters.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. A committal service with military honors will follow in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
