BRISTOLVILLE - Judith Ilene St. John, 71, of Bristolville, passed away early Monday morning, April 22, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Judy was born July 28, 1941, in Warren, the daughter of the late Fredric A. and Adah E. Durst Sutton.
She was a graduate of Bristolville High School and went on to marry Samuel St. John on Jan. 22, 1960. Together they shared more than 53 years of marriage and their five children.
Mrs. St. John was a longtime devoted member of the North Bristol Christian Church, where she had been a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. Judy loved to spend time crocheting, reading, but above all, caring for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Sam; her children, Sandra (Don) Ash, Sam St. John Jr., Mark St. John and D'Lynn (Mike) Johnson, all of Bristolville, and Ashley St. John of Lansing, Mich.; two brothers, Fredric (Juanita) Sutton of Warren and Donald (Sally) Sutton of Fowler; and by her 10 beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Penni Sutton; and sister-in-law, Elenor Sutton.
Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, in Cortland.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Briggs officiating. Burial will follow at Sager Memorial Cemetery in North Bristolville.
