HOWLAND - Harvey W. Carson, 66, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital of congestive heart failure.
Harvey was born June 22, 1946, in Warren, the son of Robert W. Carson and Mary D. Morris.
Harvey retired in 2002 from the 910th Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna as the shop chief of fuel systems maintenance after 25 years. He retired from U.S. Air Force Reserves and had served in Vietnam. He enjoyed building hot rods and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Carson, whom he married Sept. 11, 1965; a son, Rob (Gina) Carson of Cortland; and two granddaughters, Jonna and Taylor Carson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Thomas and John Morris.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. James P. Walker officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland with full military honors.
