Warren G. Harding took advantage of two Bedford errors in the fourth inning and then again in the sixth to squeak out a 4-3 Lake Erie League victory. Marcus Masters, who led Harding with two hits, singled with the game tied at 3 in the sixth and then stole second. A pick-off attempt by the Bearcats sailed into center field, and the ball slipped under the glove of the center fielder, allowing Masters to score the eventual winning run.
Tyler Spain and Joey Shver each had three hits to lead Howland past Poland, 11-4, in All-American Conference, American Division, action. Spain also had a home run and drove in five RBIs in the winning effort.
