COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Bonnie Annyce Shively Martin, 71, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, after a long battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born April 17, 1941, in Warren, the daughter of Donald K. and Leah E. Cook Shively.
She was a member of the 1959 Champion High School graduating class and attended Kent State University.
She began her working years as a cosmetologist and then went to Ohio Lamp in Warren before moving to Tucson, Ariz., and working as a taxi driver and security guard.
Survivors include the love of her life, son, Dr. Aaron J. Martin (Dr. Beatriz Quintos); two loving grandchildren of University Park, Md.; a sister, Janice (Michael) Schmidt of North Bloomfield; a brother, Roger (Linda) Shively of Woodsboro, Md.; and her mother, Leah E. Cook Shively of Frederick, Md.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chambers Funeral Home and Crematorium, 5801 Cleveland Ave., Riverdale, Md., 301-699-5500.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
