CALIFORNIA - Carol Jean Puncsak Rasor Curtis, 67, formerly of Warren, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, in California after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born April 24, 1945, in Warren, the daughter of Jean and the late John Puncsak.
Carol was raised in Warren; she was a 1963 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Kent State and Youngstown State University.
Carol attended First Baptist Church of Warren, where she was an active member. She was employed in the office at Packard Electric for 18 years before moving to Phoenix.
Carol worked for Monier Tile in Phoenix before transferring with the company to Temecula, Calif.
She is survived by her mother, Jean Spencer of Surprise, Ariz.; her children, Marc (Julie) Rasor of Phoenix, Cindy (Jim) Shively of Carefree, Ariz., and Jeramy Curtis of Temecula; brother, Jeff (Helen) Spencer of Warren; four grandchildren, Amanda Shively, Rachael Shively, Ashlyn Rasor and Jason Rasor; aunt, Charlotte Humphrey; and niece, Bethany Spencer.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Spencer; uncle, Raymond Humphrey; and nephew, Matthew Spencer.
Private family services will be held in Phoenix.
The family requests that contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer fund in Carol's name.
Arrangements were handled by Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Ariz.
