HERMITAGE, Pa. - Steve Paczak, 90, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Nugent Convalescent Home.
Mr. Paczak was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Sharon, Pa., the son of John G. and Mary Geletka Paczak.
Steve retired from the former US Steel Products in Masury and was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie E. Salaga and Stephanie Gilliland, both of Hermitage; four grandchildren; a sister, Marie Woods of Encino, Calif.; and a companion, Mary Barbara Hardy of Farrell.
Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Marie T. Engrao, a sister and three brothers.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. in Sharon, where there will be a 3:30 p.m. Parastas service. Divine Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. Panachita service at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hermitage, with military honors rendered by the West Middlesex VFW, Wheatland American Legion and the Farrell VFW Honor Guard.
