GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - Vivian R. Glenn Zeaken, 80, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, of dementia in Garden Grove, Calif.
Born Sept. 29, 1932, in Warren, the daughter of William F. Glenn Jr. and Alice Uncles, she lived in Niles on Nash Street.
She attended McKinley High School, and one month after her 18th birthday, she married Edward Zeaken, the one and only man she ever loved, on Oct. 21, 1950. Living in Warren, she had two children, daughters Joanne and Susan.
They lived on Milton Street until a trip to see her sister, Mary Alice Glenn Krause, in California. California was warm with lots of job opportunities, so the family moved there in 1960, bought a house in 1961, and lived in California 51 years until her passing.
She had a very happy life with her little family, coming just about every summer to visit her family and Edward's family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Vivian is survived by a daughter, Susan Zeaken.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1990; a daughter, Joanne, in 2004; and a sister, Mary.
There are no services, and private arrangements were with Riverside Arlington Veteran's Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
Sympathy cards may be sent to Susan Zeaken, 14903 Kedvale Ave., Midlothian, IL 60445, who says, ''Please no flowers, as I won't be in Illinois until April 28.''
