CHAMPION - William C. "Bill" Moyer, 61, died at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at his home in Champion.
He was born Feb. 10, 1952, in Warren, the son of William H. Moyer and the late Sara Elizabeth Hartman Moyer.
Bill was a 1970 graduate of Champion High School and attended Kent State University Trumbull Campus. He worked for many years as a computer technician. He received his Eagle Scout award as a member of Boy Scout Troop 27 in Champion, where he also served as a scout leader. Bill had volunteered with the American Red Cross and taught first aid and CPR classes. He loved animals and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his father, William H. Moyer of Champion; two sisters, Sandi S. (Robert) Lynn and Jan L. (Dan) Sescourka, both of Champion; three nieces, two nephews, and nine great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, Warren, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
