NEWTON FALLS - Sylvia Ann Clonch, 76, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
Sylvia was born June 22, 1936, at home in Newton Falls, the daughter of John and Mary Polois Travers. She has lived in Newton Falls her entire life and was a devoted homemaker to her family.
Sylvia married James Willard Clonch on Aug. 19, 1954. Sylvia and Willard were married for 43 years before his passing on May 26, 1997. She was a member of Pricetown Methodist Church and Baptist Bible Church in Paris Township. Sylvia was also a past member of the Hobby Hunters in Newton Falls.
Sylvia loved to travel and spent her winters in Davenport, Fla. She enjoyed playing cards and going to casinos, her favorite being Las Vegas.
Loving memories of Sylvia will be carried on by her daughter, Leah Ann Clonch; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Dena Clonch, Danny and Tracy Clonch and daughter-in-law, Cindy Clonch, all of Newton Falls; grandchildren, Tatiana Clonch, Brittany (Matthew) Leek, Sierra (George Workman) Pennington, Jared (Kristen Chizmar) Clonch, Danielle Clonch, Nicole (Jim) Niemi, Ryan (Brittany Calai) Clonch and Patricia Pence; and great-grandchildren, Caden and Chace Clonch and Taylor and Collin Niemi.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Terry Clonch.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at James Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday.
Sylvia will be laid to rest next to her husband, James, at Newton Falls Cemetery.
