PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Edward Esposito Jr., 61, formerly of Warren, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at his home in Palm Springs of complications from COPD.
Edward was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Helen and Edward Esposito.
He was raised in Warren and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1969.
Ed was drawn to the West and the desert landscape, and spent his life in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Palm Springs with his dog, Moto. He was never more than a phone call away.
Ed enjoyed traveling and was looking forward to an Alaskan cruise as his next adventure.
Edward is survived by his father, Edward Esposito; his sisters, Barbara (Jack) Leary and Janet (Ed) Hazboun; his brothers, Patrick (Debbie) and Michael (Marlea) Esposito; his sister-in-law, Karen Esposito; his nieces and nephews, Jessica Thomas, Anthony (Katelyn), Stephanie (Andy) Blossom, Melissa, Patrick (Kim), Bridget (Ottavio) Musumeci, Angela (Matt) Bulman, Michael, Emily, Danny Gisewhite, Rachel (Aaron) Luther, Joe (Amy) Gisewhite, Gary Bridgens, Maggie (Athey) Lutz, Alexis (Sergio) DiFranco, Edward Hazboun, Nicole Esposito, Alana (Justin) Coates, Madison, Ava, Santino, Luca, Giulia, Giuseppe, Ottavio, Giovanni, Colin, Alex, Fiona, Jonah, Elijah, Lyla and Spencer; and his family of friends in California, especially Robert Snyder
Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his brother, Paul; and his nephews, Leonardo and Grayson.
The family says Edward was our firstborn, our eldest brother, we loved him and will miss him for the rest of our lives.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Friends may call a half hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Thomas Eisweirth will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made in Ed's memory to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 545 Brunstetter Road S.W., Warren, 44481-9600.
