One killed in crash in Berlin Center
BERLIN CENTER - One person died in a crash Monday morning near Western Reserve High School, the Ohio State Patrol reported.
Troopers said a car and a utility truck collided about 7:30 a.m. on U.S. Route 224 near South Duck Creek Road.
It is not clear whether there were any other injuries. Troopers said the individual killed was one of the drivers.
Route 224 westbound was closed for several hours while the vehicles were removed from the road.
New computer lab to help community
WARREN - The United Methodist Community Center Warren Site, 760 Main Ave., will hold a dedication at 10 a.m. Wednesday for the computer lab.
Juanita Pasley, executive director, said the new lab will help veterans and people with low income in the community train and find employment through the Ready Workforce Program for Trumbull County.
Youngstown officials to discuss blight
YOUNGSTOWN - Mayor Charles Sammarone and Youngstown city officials will discuss the city's efforts to address blight at 10:30 a.m. today at city hall.
Officials will discuss the upcoming spring and summer seasons and the enforcement of the recently added foreclosure bond requirement to the vacant property registry ordinance.
The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative will present information on the importance of the foreclosure bond.
