HOWLAND - Mary G. Toumazos, 82, passed from this life to eternity on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Mary was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Chios, Greece, the daughter of the late George and Alexandra Alekos Manolakis.
She lived most of her life in Northeast Ohio. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
On June 5, 1960, Mary was united into marriage with George Toumazos and had shared over 49 years together. He passed away Dec. 19, 2009.
Her memories will be remembered and cherished by her loving daughter, Marian (Gerald D.) Gammon of Howland; three grandchildren, Joshua Heffner, Emily Gammon and Gerry Gammon; a brother, Nick Manolakis in Greece and a sister Argie Taylor in California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother John Manolakis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, Warren, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
