WARREN -- A man whose body was found at his Second Street W.E. home Monday night died from a gunshot wound to his neck, city police said.

Warren Police Lt. Jeff Cole said police do not believe the wound was self-inflicted.

Warren police found the body of Rodney F. Fletcher, 45, of 423 Second St. S.W., at his home around 10:50 p.m. after receiving a call from a female, whose name has not been released.

No arrests have been made and Cole said there are no suspects. It is the city's second homicide of the year.

Police continue to investigate the Jan. 1 shooting death of Cory Blackwell at the former Sunset Lounge on East Market Street.

Police say the Monday night murder is unrelated to two stabbings and a shooting on the southeast side hours later.

Michael Settle, 24, of McDonald, was shot in the chest while walking on Francis Avenue S.E. near Clarence Street S.E. around 4 a.m. today.

At about the same time as the shooting, two windows at Auto Trendz, at 2261 Youngstown Road S.E., were shot out. Police believe the windows were shot during Settle's shooting.

Warren police said Settle's shooting was connected to the earlier stabbing of Kyle Behner, 19, of Mesopotamia, and Nathaniel B. Ferrell, 20, of Milton Street S.E., Warren, who were stabbed near the Trumbull Homes apartment complex on the city's southeast side around 3 a.m.

Behner and Ferrell told police they were each stabbed during a fight. They told police they got into an argument with a man who cut both of them with a commando style knife at an unknown residence.

They were both taken to St. Joseph Health Center for treatment. Police said their injuries were not life threatening.

Behner is the brother of Kirklan Behner, 15, who died in a crash with five other local teens March 10.
